Refinance Your Mortgage in Kansas City
A refinance replaces your current loan with a new one. It only makes sense if the math works. I run it with you before you pay anything.
Common reasons to refinance
- Lower your monthly payment
- Shorten the loan term
- Move from an adjustable rate to a fixed rate
- Pay off higher-interest debt with equity
- Remove an FHA mortgage insurance premium by moving to conventional when you qualify
Know the break-even point
A refinance has closing costs. Divide those costs by the monthly savings. That tells you how many months before you come out ahead. If you will move before then, it is usually not worth it. I will give you that number up front.
Loan types I can look at
- Conventional rate and term or cash-out
- FHA streamline or cash-out
- VA streamline (IRRRL) or cash-out
- Investor refinances through DSCR
I cannot quote a rate on this page. Rates change daily. Call or text with your current balance and payment and I will tell you where you stand.
Common questions
How soon can I refinance after buying?
It depends on the loan. Some streamlines require several months of payments. Ask me about yours.
Will I need an appraisal?
Often yes for conventional and cash-out. Some streamline refinances do not require one.
Told no somewhere else? Call me.
I can’t promise a yes, but I’ll look at every option. Call or text, or meet in person.
